V.g. Keys and descriptions to the grasses of the USA, with a massive appendix on synonymy (was this wise?) and a biographical index of persons after whom grasses have been named. Illustrated with thumb-nail text figures, this is a good example of the tendency for American publishers to over-compress the formats of their books, which is even more curious as a design feature when the actual font size of the text is on the generous side, as this is (figure legends excepted). Brief notes on economic and agricultural uses are provided.
